Sonic Healthcare Benelux is a clinical laboratory that belongs to one of the largest laboratory groups in Belgium, with laboratories in Ardooie, Antwerp and Genk.

Job description
You provide support to doctors and internal users. Thanks to your communication skills and technical insight, you can help users solve problems with hardware and software. You are also jointly responsible for maintaining our knowledge database. You are part of our interdisciplinary docsupport team (doctors, hospitals, vets, etc.).
Your tasks include:
- You act as the first point of contact for technical support to our doctors.
- Thanks to your enthusiastic and customer-friendly approach, you build relationships based on trust with our doctors and colleagues.
- With an interdisciplinary approach, you follow up tasks from start to finish by working together with the infrastructure and applications team.
- Install and configure hardware/software with doctors and internal users, including medical applications, EMD, Lab Online.
- Provide training to internal and external users on use of our applications.
- Formulating improvement proposals based on user feedback.
- Creating and maintaining documentation of our ICT infrastructure.
- Diagnose hardware or software problems remotely, carry out remote or on-site intervention and determine the resources needed to solve the problem and redirect the call if necessary (on-site maintenance, specialised technician,...).
- Monitor and maintain infrastructure/software to ensure availability.
- Inventory of hardware and software in the ITSM tool.
- You have at least a Bachelor degree in a software-oriented direction or equivalent through experience (industrial engineer ICT, computer science, ...).
- You are communicative and can guide a user in solving problems on-site or remotely.
- You are fluent in various types of hardware and software:
- Endpoint, network, e-mail, security;
- Windows, configuration & deployment (DNS, DHCP, DFS, etc.);
- lab software including EMD;
- You can work according to a quality management system or are willing to learn it.
- You are prepared to follow additional training courses or to expand your knowledge through self-study.
- You are fluent in Dutch and have a good command of English and French.
- You participate in ICT on-call duty (rotation on Saturday morning).
